ITALIAN FOR BEGINNERS

This intro course is for absolute beginners or for people who studied Italian years ago but need to brush up on the basics.

Together, we'll cover:

  • pronunciation and intonation
  • the present and simple past, and when to use essere vs stare
  • basic grammar including articles, gender, plurals and prepositions

Each lesson will also include in-class conversation practice and real-life situations such as talking about yourself (job, home, family, likes and dislikes), shopping, and ordering in a restaurant.

This is an online class, conducted via Zoom.

About the teacher

Stefano Di Cicco is a native of Rome, with more than 25 years' teaching experience at schools in New York, including 12 years at Idlewild.

Stefano is also a painter, with regular exhibitions in local galleries.

About our classes

Class size is limited to 12 students. Classes sell out fast, and availability is first-come, first-served.

There are no make-up classes. You will receive a syllabus so you can keep up if you have to miss a class.

To cancel your registration, you must contact Idlewild at least 7 days before the start date to receive a refund.
